The History Of Camperlands

Camperlands Ltd was founded by the late and much missed Mike and Peggy Ryder in 1968.
Originally a venture to bring in extra money for their growing family, the couple ran a frame tent rental business in the back garden of the family home over the summer season.

The success of the season, which lasted for 6 weeks, encouraged the Ryders to expand their fledgling business to sell tents, trailer tents and folding campers along with camping equipment and caravan accessories. This expansion was welcomed by their growing number of customers, and soon the couple needed to relocate to a larger workspace, where the tents could be displayed and dismantled every day.

Only 2 years after first beginning business, the business demanded enough space and security to warrant the Ryders moving their business to its current location on Mill Lane in Manchester. Here, the couple created the open-air camping and leisure exhibition that has remained strong ever since.

Camperlands Today

To this day, Camperlands has provided thousands of customers with quality motorhome equipment and trailer tents from their extensive range of products.
